Successful Demolition of 16-Storey Carpark Building

The complex demolition of a 16-storey carpark building has been successfully completed, demonstrating the expertise and meticulous planning involved in such a challenging project.

The demolition required the careful separation of the building into two parts, necessitating the construction of temporary structures to maintain stability throughout the process.

A combination of machine-based methods and cut-and-crane techniques was used to efficiently and safely dismantle the towering structure. This hybrid approach ensured precise control over the demolition, allowing for the safe and gradual lowering of the building to the ground.

One of the significant challenges faced during the project was the presence of a live sub-station powering part of the Central Business District (CBD). Despite this potential hazard, the team managed to maintain the sub-station's operation throughout the demolition, ensuring that the CBD continued to receive uninterrupted power.

The successful completion of this complex demolition project without incident is a great success for our clients. Our Structural Engineers innovative approach not only ensured the safety and stability of the surrounding area but also demonstrated our capability to manage high-risk projects in urban environments.
